I am an Economist (Post-Doc/Assistant Professor equivalent) at the Center for Labor Economics of the ifo Institute at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. I am also a CESifo Research Affiliate. My research interests include Development Economics, Gender Economics, Family Economics and Economics of Crime. My work is focused on the causes of violence against women and what type of interventions are effective in preventing it. The context of my research has been India, UK, El Salvador, and Mozambique. I am currently the holder of a Leibniz Junior Research Groups Grant under the project "The Economics of Violence Against Women: Understanding Causes and Identifying Remedies": 2019-2023. During the Spring of 2022, I will be a Visiting Scholar at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University. In my free time, I enjoy travelling and trying food from around the world. I visited 63 countries so far. |
